Frank M. Saffioti, 82, of Pinehurst, TX, formerly of Clifton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 7, 2013. Born in Clifton he lived most of his life there, but also resided in Binghamton, NY and Pennsylvania before moving to Pinehurst 19 years ago. Frank spent a lifetime in Construction as a Master Builder, Contractor, Innovator and Developer. His professional services included serving as Building Inspector of Magnolia, TX, and providing expertise to the industry in NJ, NY, PA, and TX. His other interests included participating in civic and church organizations throughout America, including the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, the Athenia Veterans Post in Clifton, and the VFW Post # 2427, Tomball, TZ. Frank served as an Army Veteran during the Korean War as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. A parishioner of St. Matthias RC Church, Magnolia, Frank served on the building committee during reconstruction. Earlier in his life, Frank was a very active member in hunting and fishing organizations in NJ, and always enjoyed playing cards and billiards with his family and colleagues. Beloved father of Thomas, Donna, Joyce, Faith and Francine. Loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Devoted son of the late Thomas and Mary Saffioti. Dear brother of Joseph, Anthony, Thomas, Donald and John. Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Memorial Gathering will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, 2-4 PM, with a Prayer Service at 3:30 PM.
