Frank Panek, 89, of Clifton, passed away on August 8, 2011. Born in Perkins, WV, he lived in Garfield and has been a resident of Clifton for over 70 years. A parishioner of St. Brendan's RC Church, Clifton, Frank was a member of the Happy Times Senior Club, the Clifton Elks Lodge, the Clifton Senior Association, and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. Frank was a member of the Carpenter's Union, Local # 124, Passaic for over 50 years, retiring in 1995. Beloved husband of Grace (Tresca). Devoted father of Frank and his wife Claire of WV, Martin of Clifton, Thomas and his wife Donna of South Plainfield, and Michael and his wife Erica of Stockholm. Dear brother of Michael of Manahawkin. Loving grandfather of Dennis, Kathryn and Jessica. Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. Brendan's RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
