Francisca Rina Ordóñez Vásquez, 79, passed away on August 19, 2025. From her beautiful and beloved Guayaquil, Ecuador, she traveled to the US in 1972 and lived on Long Island, New York, and then in Newark before settling in Butler with her daughter. Francisca worked as a teacher in Ecuador with the Franciscan Sisters for many years.

In her youth, she was an expert castanet player, and flamenco was her passion. She loved arts and crafts, especially working with clay pottery, making beautiful porcelain ornaments with gold. Francisca loved the ocean and the beach. She enjoyed walking and traveling, visiting her siblings in Caracas, Maturin, Venezuela and reading the Bible every morning.

Beloved wife of the late Jorge Hernán Ledesma Abarca, who passed away on October 17, 2022. Devoted mother of Christian Alfred Ledesma, Carol Kathryn Ledesma, and Jack Alan Ledesma. Loving grandmother of Daniela, Dylan, Kevin, Nathalie, Krisly, and Chris Ledesma, Karol Camiell, Katheryn Cecilia and Jhonny Gavin Torres, Enzo Antonio Peńa, Matthew, Jack, Ryan, Jackie and Sofia Ledesma. Beloved sister of Carlos Delgado, Grace, Elzie, Elizabeth, Irlanda, Alfredo, and Víctor Ordóñez.

Visiting Sunday, August 24, from 4 - 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation will be private.

Francisca Rina Ordóñez Vásquez, de 79 años, falleció el 19 de agosto de 2025. Desde su hermoso y amado Guayaquil -Ecuador, viajó a los Estados Unidos en 1972 y vivió en Long Island, Nueva York, y luego en Newark antes de establecerse en Butler con su hija. Francisca trabajó como maestra en Ecuador durante muchos años con las Hermanitas Franciscanas.

En su juventud fue experta en tocar la castañuela y el flamenco era su pasión, le encantaba las artes y manualidades, especialmente trabajar con cerámica de arcilla haciendo bellos adornos en porcelana con oro, A Francisca le encantaba el mar, la playa, disfrutaba salir a caminar y viajar visitando a sus hermanos en Caracas, Maturín – Venezuela, le gustaba leer la biblia todas las mañanas.

Amada esposa del difunto Jorge Hernán Ledesma Abarca, quien falleció octubre 17 del 2022. Madre devota de Christian Alfred Ledesma, Carol Kathryn Ledesma y Jack Alan Ledesma. Abuela cariñosa de Daniela, Dylan, Kevin, Nathalie, Krisly, Chris Ledesma, Karol Camiell, Katheryn Cecilia, Jhonny Gavin Torres, Enzo Antonio Peńa, Matthew, Jack Ryan, Jackie Sofia Ledesma.  Hermana querida de Carlos Delgado, Grace, Elzie, Elizabeth, Irlanda, Alfredo y Víctor Ordóñez.

Velorio el domingo 24 de agosto, de 4 a 8 PM en la Funeraria Shook, ubicada en 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. La cremación será privada.
