Francis E. Buonomo, "Franny", 67, of Bixby, Oklahoma passed away on October 7, 2023.

The youngest in his family, Franny found a unique way of shining brightly without a lot of fuss or flair.

Franny grew up a coach's "Ace", a friend's "confidant", a sibling's "shoulder to lean on". Franny then became a loving husband and father to a family who absolutely adored him. Teacher of the game, any game, a caregiver, a strong hand to hold, one of God's fishermen.

Born in Jersey City, he was raised in Bayonne. He then lived to raise his girls in Elmwood Park and Totowa for many years before settling in Oklahoma.

Franny was a Radiology Manager at NY Presbyterian Hospital and at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

It goes without saying that Franny was a huge Yankee fan. As luck would have it, his career allowed him a brief connection to the team's organization, working alongside his good friend, Joey.

Beloved husband of 35 years to Deborah Buonomo (Szczyrek).

Devoted father to Christina Buonomo (Hughes)and her husband Harry, and Jamie Buonomo and her husband David Webster. Cherished "Pop Pop" to Jack Hughes.

Dear brother to Joan Donnelly, Robert and Thomas Buonomo, and Rosemary Adams.

As years moved on, Franny enjoyed Zune-ing into his musical library and walking his "forever puppy", Jerry.
