Francesco Salvatore Diaco, 86, of Clifton passed away on April 3, 2021. Born in Satriano, Calabria, Italy, he came to the US in 1956 and first settled in Newark and lived in Belleville for many years before moving to Clifton in 1983. Francesco was the owner and operator of C & F Masonry Construction for many years.

Beloved husband of Caterina "Maria" Diaco (Calabretta). Devoted father of Joseph Diaco and his wife Gisella, Maria Squirlock and her late husband Peter, Jr., Dominick Diaco, Aurora Di Fulco and her husband Patrick, Anna Morella and her husband John and Ralph Diaco and his fiancée Lisa Della Pietra. Cherished grandfather of Gabriella, Victoria, Bianca, Christopher, Anthony, Marissa, Juliana, Luke, Julia, Sophia and Francesca. Loving brother of the late Domenico Diaco.

Visiting Friday 3 – 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Saturday 8:45 at the funeral home and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
