Frances Salva (nee Motacki), 91, formerly of Clifton, died Dec. 19 at home after a brief illness. Mrs. Salva was born and raised in Clifton. Prior to moving to West Caldwell in 2011, she also lived with a son and his family in Moorestown and with her daughter and son-in-law in Clifton. Her husband, John, predeceased her in 1988. While Frances worked briefly as a commercial artist and in various jobs, her greatest legacy is as the matriarch of an extensive, loving family.

Funeral Saturday 9:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Friday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
