Filomena "Fay" (Scarfo) Russo, 97, of Clifton, passed away on February 27, 2013. Born in Stratford, CT, she was a lifelong resident of Clifton. A parishioner of St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton, Fay was a Hostess for Joey's in Clifton and the Park Pub in Nutley for many years. Fay was a member of the Clifton Happy Seniors and the Athenia Veterans Post Ladies Auxiliary, Clifton. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas C. Russo, who passed away in 1978. Devoted mother of S. Nicholas Russo and his late wife Valerie of Clifton, Gary J. Russo and his wife Patricia of Clifton, and Debra Lynn Quinn and her husband Thomas of Oradell. Dear sister of George Scarfo, Mildred Romeo, Francis Carparelli, Ann Guidetti, and the late James and Garry Scarfo, Rose Febbo and Mary VanEss. Loving grandmother of Doreen, Nicholas, Valerie, Kimberly, Kelley, Kristen, Allison, Thomas, Jill, Michael, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Cherished aunt of several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Funeral Monday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Monday 9AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Tomorrows Children's Fund, 30 Prospect Avenue, Hackensack, NJ 07601, www.atcfkid.com, in memory of Fay would be greatly appreciated.
