Filomena (Kulig) Marut, 94, of Passaic passed away on December 4, 2019. Born in Stany, Poland, Filomena came to the US in 1966 and settled in Passaic. She was a seamstress for many years and a parishioner of Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic, where she was a member of their Rosary Society.

Beloved wife of the late Andrzej Rys and the late Antoni Marut. Devoted mother of Marian Rys and his wife Cecylia and Irene Kociolek, all of Clifton. Loving grandmother of Monika Krulikowsky and her husband Pete, Jessica Volaric and her husband Keith, Stephen Rys and Olivia Kociolek. Dear great-grandmother of Mia Ray Volaric. She is predeceased by her siblings Wladyslaw, Ludwik, Julius, John and Franciszka Kulig, Genevieve Drake, Bertha Byra and Maria Bladek.

Visiting Sunday 2-6PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton. Funeral Monday 8:15 AM at the funeral home and 9:30 AM at Holy Rosary RC Church, Passaic. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack.
