Obituary

Everett "Ed" Meyers, 71, of Passaic, passed away on March 16, 2012. Born in Troy, NY, he joined the Army and moved to Germany. Everett lived in Totowa, Wayne, Clifton and Wallington, before moving to Passaic. An Army Veteran during the Korean War, Everett also served with the National Guard during Operation Desert Storm and was a former member of the Wallington VFW as well as serving wth the Civil Defense Fire fighters of Totowa for many years. Everett was a Police Officer with the Passaic Police Department for 31 years, retiring in 1994, and was a member of PBA Local # 14 and the Blue Knights NJ Chapter VII. Known as "Robo", he was an avid bowler at Wallington Lanes, a member of the Bergen County Bowling Association, member of the CC Riders, Coach for the Northern and Central Little League Division and was an avid fisherman. Surviving are his former wife Maureen Sheleg Meyers. Dear father of Ryan. Loving grandfather of Jade. Brother of the late Betty Maybe, Roland, Bobby and Kenny. Visiting Sunday 5-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Cremation Private.
