Evelyn Tynio, 96, of Clifton, passed away on November 29, 2021. Born in Ukraine, she came to the US in 1948 and lived in New York City before moving to Clifton 42 years ago.

A parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Passaic, Evelyn was a member of the CYM and was a Chef at the children's camp for many years. Before retiring in 1990, Evelyn worked for Becton-Dickinson in Rutherford for 20 years.

Beloved wife of the late Michael Tynio who passed away in 1999. Devoted mother of Bohdan Tynio and his wife Robin of Garfield, and Michael Tynio and his partner Denise Brower of Clifton. Loving grandmother of Michael Tynio and his wife Amanda, and Laura Levin and her husband Dave. Cherished great grandmother of Michael Lee.

Visiting Thursday 4-8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, Parastas service 7 PM. Funeral Friday 7:45 AM at the funeral home, and 9 AM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Passaic. Interment, Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Hamptonburg, NY.
