Eugeniusz Szurko, 65, of East Rutherford passed away on April 26, 2014. Born in Brzesko, Poland, he came to the US in 1967 and first settled in Irvington before moving to East Rutherford 25 years ago. Eugeniusz was a Mechanic for Westinghouse, Bloomfield, for many years, retiring several years ago. Dear father of Helen Socha of Old Bridge, Donna Stanley of Linden, and Robert and Dariusz Szurko, both of Rockaway. Cherished grandfather of 6 grandchildren. Loving brother of Julie Baran of Green Brook, Helena Giermanski of Rahway, Lucja Lorenc of East Rutherford, Jan Szurko of FL, Maria Tondera of PA, Janina Soltys of Monroe Township, and Jessica Burzynski of Sayerville. Funeral Tuesday 8:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at Most Sacred Heart of Jesus RC Church, Wallington. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
