Eugene C. “Gene” Prall, 76, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Vernon, New Jersey, passed away on July 23, 2026.

Born in Passaic, New Jersey, Gene was raised in Clifton before settling in Vernon, where he and his wife, Shirley Ruth Prall, raised their three children.

Gene proudly served in the United States Air Force Reserve. He later spent many years working in the advertising industry before retiring & moving Myrtle Beach. Gene was a member of the Ocean View Baptist Church, Myrtle Beach.

He is survived by his three children. His oldest daughter, Lisa, and her husband Brian, have two children, Brandin, and Brooklyn, His son, Jeff, and Jeff’s wife, Nina Prall, have one daughter, Tessa, His youngest son, Michael Prall, and Michael’s wife, Emily, share their lives with Emily’s children, Luna Taisey, and Salas Taisey

He was predeceased by his brother, Mark Prall who is survived by his wife Ruth.

Gene will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, and deep love for his family. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visiting Wednesday, July 29, 2026, 10 AM to 12 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Service will begin at 12 PM. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
