Ethel (Ohrin) Simko, 85, of Clifton, passed away on May 1, 2013. Born in Edwardsville, PA, she lived in Passaic for 21 years before moving to Clifton in 1962. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Ethel was a member of the Wayne Elks Lodge #2181, Ladies Auxiliary. Ethel was a Telephone Operator for Bell Telephone in Passaic for several years, retiring many years ago. Beloved wife of the late Ernest J. Simko, who passed away in 1998. Devoted mother of Ethel Boccafogli and her husband Garry of Susquehanna, PA, Alice Chirichello and her husband James of Clifton, and the late Mark A. Simko who passed away in 1983. Loving grandmother of Deborah Melanson and her husband Thomas, Brenda Sheridan and her husband John, James Chirichello and his wife Dawn, Christopher Chirichello, and Thomas Boccafogli and his wife Kimberly. Cherished great grandmother of Daniel and William Sheridan, Logan Melanson, and Ellie Grace Boccafogli. Dear sister of Verna Malkowicz of Vernon, predeceased by 5 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral Monday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Visiting Sunday 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
