Ernest A. Casini, 81, of Clifton, passed away on November 25, 2020. Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong resident of Clifton.

A parishioner of St. Brendan's RC Church, Clifton, Ernie was the Owner of Casini Liquor and Deli, Maywood, for 28 years retiring in 2003. Later, he was a driver for Wayne Auto Sales for many years. An avid NY Giants and NJ Devils Fan, Ernie played the trumpet for Joey Dee & The Starliters, the group best known for the million-selling record "Peppermint Twist".

Beloved husband of the late Florence (Longo) Casini who passed away in 2004. Devoted father of Ernest Casini, Jr., and his wife Diane, Jeanne Redmon and her husband Paul, and Joseph Casini and his partner Joan Clark. Loving grandfather of Ashley Baylor and her husband Dahsiem, Michael Redmon and his wife Shannon, Joseph Redmon and his wife Christianne, and Michelle Redmon. Cherished great grandfather of Kailah Baylor, Corey and Ella Redmon. Dear brother of Frances Przybylinski, Joseph Casini and his wife Cathy. Dear brother in law of Linda Marino and her husband Dennis.

Funeral Wednesday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Brendan's RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Nicholas' Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Tuesday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
