Ernest L. Bond, 86 of Clifton passed away on January 30, 2025. Born in Jersey City, he has lived in Clifton for many years. He was a technician withe the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 68, and worked for many years on maintaining the HVAC in the buildings of the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford. Ernest served his country as a member of the US Air Force and very much enjoyed doing puzzles and meeting friends at local restaurants.

Dear brother of Doris Hafemann and her husband Alvin, and Richard Bond and his wife Rose Ann. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Ernest is predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Doris Bond.

A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 3-5PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with the presentation of military honors to begin at 4:30PM. Cremation was private.

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Ernest's memory to either the Disabled American Veterans , or to the Alzheimer's Association , would be greatly appreciated.
