Ernest J.Blanchard, 82, of Clifton on May 17, 2009. Born in Passaic, he lived all of his life in the Passaic-Clifton area. A Merchant Marine Veteran of WW II, Ernest was a pipe fitter for Hoffman-LaRoche in Nutley for 26 years, retiring in 1985. Ernest was a parishioner of St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton. Beloved husband for 57 years of Leokadia "Lily" (Schram). Beloved brother of Joyce Drevenak and the late Alice Blum, Albert, William and Philip. Funeral Thursday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Clare's RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
