Eric A.
Pacosa
March 21, 2023
Eric Albert Pacosa, 51 of Clifton died suddenly Tuesday March 21, 2023. Born at St. Mary's Hospital Passaic, Eric had an early and uncanny sense of adventure that always had him on the move, getting into everything and anything. His spirit of adventure landed him in the emergency room more than once as a small child. Broken bones, stitches, bumps and bruises were often his trademark as a result of his propensity to attempt flight. No adventure was too big or too small for him to explore. Born into a family of avid readers and music enthusiasts, Eric formed lifelong interests in both. From teenage days of sharing a much-enjoyed book with his father and sister (except for Jurassic Park…we all hated that one) to an appreciation of every musical genre from Ukrainian folk songs to Led Zeppelin, Eric took that appreciation for all music from just listening to learning to play the guitar. Guitar playing was something he continued to enjoy all through his adult life. In his spare time, he loved to build model
planes and tanks. His interest in Trivia, great love of all his dogs and complete devotion to the NY Yankees were all things he shared with his beloved daughter Angelina who carries these gifts forward into her own life.
Eric was a much-loved sidekick of his uncles, great uncles and especially his father. He often tagged along to Clifton football games and fishing trips. Helping his father build a cabin in the Poconos may have spurred his interest in engineering. A graduate of Clifton High School, he went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from NJIT and held positions of increasing responsibility at Allied Signal and Kulite. While an intern at Allied Signal, he was so well liked that the engineering group he was assigned to took the time to assist him with his graduation project. Eric was part of a team there that worked on components for the US Space Shuttle program. He was a loyal and devoted project manager with Kulite for the past 22 years.
Eric leaves us all with a huge void in our lives, but especially his beloved wife Donna (Vaccaro) and daughter Angelina Philomena. He is the much-loved son of Albert and Daria Pacosa of Sarasota, Fl and cherished brother (and former partner in crime) of his sister Lisa Pacosa-Sicilian and Matthew Sicilian. He leaves behind a loving family of aunts, uncles and cousins as well as lifelong friends who are considered family. We know he is in the loving and eternal care of those who passed before him.
The family respectfully requests that no floral arrangements be sent. If you would like to, a donation can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org, donations can be made directly on line, or by mail
