Eric Lynch, a gifted computer programmer, IT system designer and web master has died at his computer of unknown causes on December 5th according to reports at the age of 31.
He was initially home trained and introduced to program languages at the early age of 10 by his dad, Carl Grant who was working at ITT at the time.
At the age of 14 Eric worked with, mastered a number of program languages and set up an NT network in his room accommodating several work stations for his friends for both communication and video games. At the same age, Eric was granted a patent on a system administrator utility program which he developed and marketed under a company he decided to name "Ericweb".
Eric held a number of programming and IT certification credentials he acquired while earning his Associate Degree at Lincoln Tech. In addition, he was also mentored by several IT business professionals including Bob King (Kearfott Guidance & Navigation) to expand his knowledge of real time IT system design, development and maintenance.
Mr. Lynch also held the position of webmaster for the First Church of Religious Science located in New York City.
Eric will be sorely missed by the people that enjoyed the pleasure of working close to him, appreciating his talents as both a technical designer, implementer of IT systems and humanitarian. He is survived by his son, Elias, his mother Dr. Carol Lynch and his dad, Carl Grant.
A memorial service conducted by The Rev. Wade Adkisson will be held at the Shook Funeral Home, in Clifton, New Jersey on Saturday, December 10th at 2pm.
