Emil Korty, 91, of Clifton, passed away on August 15, 2011. Born in Clifton, he was a lifelong resident. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Emil was a member of the Golden Circle and Loaves & Fishes. An Army Veteran of WW II, Emil served with the 13th TC Squadron. A Plumber for over 40 years, Emil was the Owner of Korty's Plumbing in Clifton, retiring in 1984, was a member of the Clifton Master Plumbers, and was Past President and member of the Elm Tree Golf Club. Beloved husband for 63 years of the late Janet C. (Gusciora) who passed away in March. Devoted father of Brian and his wife Patricia of Potomac, MD, Janice DeVita and her husband Robert of Clifton, Carol Farrelly of Boulder City, NV, and Donald and his wife Tawny of Clifton. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral Friday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Thursday 4-8 PM.
