Emery S. Simko, 92 of Towanda, PA on August 28, 2009. Born in Passaic he lived in Clifton for 48 years before moving to Pennsylvania 7 years ago. A former parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church, Passaic, Emery was a pipe fitter for Curtiss-Wright Aeronautics in Wood Ridge for 35 years, retiring in 1979. An Army Air Force Veteran of WW II serving as a Radio Operator and Gunner on a B-17, he was a member of the Albion VFW Post #7165 and the DAV, both of Clifton. Beloved husband for 65 years of Joyce (Evans). Devoted father of Alan and his wife Nancy of Towanda, Brian of Tampa, and Barbara Zak and her husband Glenn of Tampa. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday 2 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.
