Obituary

Ella Hasior, 100, of Totowa, formerly of Passaic, passed away on June 18, 2015. Born in Passaic, she lived in Garfield and Clifton, returning to Passaic in 1949 and has been a resident of Totowa for the past 10 years. A former parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church, Passaic, Ella was a member of the Rosary Society and AARP Chapter # 4192, Clifton. Before retiring in 2001, Ella was an Office Clerk for the Mission Office for the Diocese of Paterson, as well as a Bookkeeper for St. Mary's Grammar and High School, Rutherford, The Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic under Bishop Dudick, and Pope Pius XII High School, Passaic. Beloved sister of the late Helen, Emma, Margaret, Emil, Andrew and Joseph. Loving aunt of Noreen Hasior, Tana Lizak, Karen La Placa, the late Andrew Hasior, the late Arthur Smith, 7 grand nieces and nephews, and several great grand nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 11 AM at the Chapel of St. Jeanne Jugan at Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph's Home for the Elderly, 140 Shepherds Lane, Totowa. Visiting Wednesday 9:30-11 AM at Little Sisters of the Poor. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Arrangements under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
