Eleanor J. (Piryt) Pribit, 89, of Clifton, passed away on May 23, 2012. Born in Lodi, she lived in Rochelle Park before moving to Clifton 67 years ago. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Eleanor was a Secretary for Raybestos-Manhattan Rubber, Passaic, in the Personnel Department and later a Supervisor of NJ Bell Telephone in Rutherford, for many years. Eleanor was a Volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital Passaic, and was a former member of the Athenia Veterans Post Auxiliary, Clifton. Beloved wife of the late Michael who passed away in 2005. Devoted mother of Diane E. Glenn and her husband Scott R. Glenn of Santa Barbara, CA. Loving daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Rembish) Piryt. Dear sister of the late Joseph Piryt and Loretta Meakin. Cherished aunt of Jack Meakin of Stockholm, NJ, Bobby Krisa of Parsippany, NJ, Carol Woods of Colonia, NJ, Joyce Hollowich and Fred Tomczyk, both of Clifton, NJ, and the late Alida Meakin Stone. Loving great aunt of Alida Meakin, Heidi Lind and Lorrie Williams, all of NJ, Betsy Hayes and Walter Stone of MA, and John Meakin of MD. Special thanks to dear friends Elaine and Arnold Simone. Memorial Mass Saturday, June 2, 2012, 11 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, 49 Speer Ave., Clifton. Interment of ashes at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi, at a later date.
