Eleanor Irene (Lukowiak) Orson, 95, of Clifton passed away on March 14, 2013. Born and raised in Belleville, she moved to Clifton in 1949. A parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Eleanor and her husband were among the original St. Philip's families who helped to establish and build their parish. Eleanor was a talented artist and enjoyed volunteering her time. She was a Brownie Troop Leader at St. Philip the Apostle for many years, was active in the school PTA, and also served as president of the Rosary Society. Eleanor was a homemaker and an extremely proud mother. Her love was unconditional and never-ending; always willing to take anyone in need of it under her sheltering wing. Everyone who met her love always came back to it. Devoted wife of the late John James Orson, who passed away in 1999. Beloved mother of Dave of Wayne, Paul and his wife Beverly of Montville, Janice Orson Murtin and her husband Christian Murtin of Montrouge, France, Steven of Maywood, Elen Orson-Carysfort of Los Angeles, CA, Lori Ann Orson and her husband Charles London of San Francisco, CA, and Halina Bryja and her husband Walter of Clifton. Cherished grandmother of Daryn, Brooke, Daniel, Steven, Nancy, Amanda, Michael, Matthew, and Daniel B. and great-grandmother of Allegra, Devan, and Ivy. Dear sister of Lawrence Lukowiak and his wife Joan and sister-in-law of Pat Lukowiak. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church. Interment, Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visiting Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
