Eleanor (Cicchino) LaCorte, 81, of Clifton passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2009, peacefully in her home under the loving care of her family, aide Vicki Golabek and Hospice/Visiting Health Services. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC, Clifton, she was a member of the Athenia Veterans Post Ladies Auxiliary, Clifton. Eleanor was employed by RCA in Harrison for 25 years, and later the Clifton Board of Education for 15 years, retiring in 1991. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Michael LaCorte, devoted daughters Renee Thompson and her husband Keith of Perkasie, Pa, and Gina Yarrish and her husband Thaddeus "Ted", Jr., of Kingsley, Pa. Loving grandmother of Jaclyn and Michelle Thompson, Justin Yarrish and his wife Lisa, Thaddeus Yarrish, III and his wife Danielle, Michael and Melissa Yarrish. Great grandmother of Jonathan Yarrish. Dear sister of Anthony Cicchino of Fl, Lucy Lester of Roselle Park, Teresa Kobre and her husband Dave of Fl, Carol Sapienza and her husband Raymond of Roselle Park, the late Dominic, Michael and Carmen Cicchino, and the late Annie Cavallero, Millie Cifelli, Dolly Gangi and Marie Diamante. Loving sister in law of Charles LaCorte, Jr. and his wife Janet of Fl, Marian Coppa of Waldwick, and Josephine Swan and her husband Albert of Pa., and the late William Coppa. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral Wednesday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11:30 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Visiting Monday 7-9 PM and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
