Edward L. Grenci, 75, of Clifton, passed away on May 7, 2012. Born in Clifton, he was a life long resident. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, Ed was a member and Past Commander of the Athenia Veterans Post, Clifton, a member of the Clifton Elks Lodge # 1569 and the Big Pine Hunting Club. A parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Ed was Vice President of Clifton Machinery on Van Houten Ave., where he worked for 36 years, retiring in 2001. Beloved husband of the late Florence (DiChiara) who passed away in 2005. Devoted father of Clara O'Boyle and her husband Joseph of Garfield, Bruno Grenci and his late wife Cathy of Carmel, IN. Loving grandfather of Bridget and Molly. Dear brother of Joseph Grenci and his wife Ruth of Clifton, the late Anthony Grenci and the late Nancy Reitano and her late husband Philip. Funeral Friday 10:30 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
