Edward Fortyz, 57, of Passaic passed away on August 26, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Edward was raised in the Bronx before moving to Passaic in 1985. He was a Civil Engineer and Chief Inspector for AECOM in New York City for the past 29 years.
Beloved husband of Alida (Aviles). Devoted father of Lisa Cruz of Passaic and the late Edward William Fortyz who passed away in 2008. Cherished grandfather of Jalyssa and Julie Cruz. Dear brother of Maria Hernandez, Juanita Fortyz-Otero, Annette Caro, Carmen Caro and Sylvette Gonzalez. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews, especially Tanya and Kim Caro. Dear son-in-law of Alida Montalvo. Caring brother-in-law of Laura Morales and Christopher Aviles.
