Edgar Lewis Barbee, 81, of Garfield, passed away on March 1, 2016. Born in Raleigh, NC, he lived in Passaic before moving to Garfield several years ago.
A parishioner of Ss. Peter and Paul's Polish National Catholic Church, Passaic, Edgar was a School Bus Driver for John Leckie, Inc., in Hackensack for 12 years, retiring in 2001. A Veteran of the Korean War, Edgar proudly served his country in both the US Air Force and later the US Army.
Beloved husband for 57 years of Dolores (Gajda). Devoted father of Debora Barbee of Garfield, Douglas and his wife Dawn of Deland, FL, and Richard of Garfield. Loving grandfather of Jerilyn, Kyle, Kathy, Jackie and Douglas Barbee, Jr.. Dear brother of Linda Jolman of Deland, FL.
Memorial Gathering Sunday 2-4 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Prayer Service at 3 PM. Cremation was private.
