Dorothy N. Stanchak's Obituary
Dorothy N. (Maksimoski) Stanchak, "Dot", 87, of Clifton, passed away on June 18, 2017. Born in Passaic, she was a lifelong resident of Clifton.
Dot worked in the City Clerk's Office for the City of Clifton for over 40 years, retiring as the Registrar of Vital Statistics. Dot was one of the longest serving City of Clifton employees in it's 100 year history, and served as a Commissioner on the Clifton ABC Board for many years.
Beloved wife of the late Michael "Mickey", who passed away in 1989. Devoted mother of Gregory and his wife Donna of Hillsdale, Laurie Zygmunt of Clifton and her late husband Thomas who passed away in 2016, and the late Mark who passed away in 1999. Loving grandmother of Nicholas and Joseph of Newburgh, NY, RoseMary, Michael and Danielle of Hillsdale. Dear sister of Allan Macke and his wife Arlene of Franklin Lakes. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are private under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
