Dorothea Stepka's Obituary
Dorothea Stepka, 100, of Clifton, passed away on November 11, 2018. Born in Newark she was a lifelong resident of Clifton.
A parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton, Dorothea was a Secretary for St. Anthony's Guild in Paterson, as well as Shulton, State Farm and Lexington Chevorlet, all of Clifton.
After retiring, "Miss D." loved working for 10 years with the children at St. Andrew's School, Clifton. A member of the Valley Seniors and the Young at Heart, Dorothea loved cooking, needlepoint and painting on canvas, she was a world traveler, and enjoyed fishing and crabbing.

Beloved wife of the late Adam Piasecki who passed away in 1959, and the late John Stepka who passed away in 1993. Devoted mother of Donagene Piasecki of Clifton, and the late Adam Piasecki who passed away in 2013, and his wife Marlene of Little Falls. Loving grandmother of A. Todd Piasecki. Dear sister of George Lordi of Virginia, and the late Mildred Pierce and Geraldine Vitiello. Loving aunt of Vincent and Marilyn Vitello, Geraldine and Ron Lombardi, Kenneth and Sandi Lordi, and Laura Lordi. Great aunt of Nikki, Chrissy, Gabby and Vincent. Great-great aunt of Baby Leo. Sadly missed by her beloved canine companion, Cooper.
Funeral Thursday 10:15 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 11:30 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Wednesday 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
