Doris L. Ricciardi ended her battle with both breast cancer and Parkinson's in the comfort of her home on December 27, 2020.  Doris leaves behind her children Debra, Suzann and husband Robin, and Kenneth and wife Kathleen, stepdaughter Cynthia and husband Ciro; and grandchildren Eric, Nichole, James, Joseph, and Kenna.

A loving and devoted wife and mother, Doris' greatest joy was caring for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Doris filled her life with both care and service for others in the form of prayer and volunteerism including Meals on Wheels, fundraising for the establishment of Hackettstown Hospital, special needs Tournament of Champions, providing assistance to students attending both William Patterson University and Centenary University, visiting hospital bound patients.  Doris loved her canine companions and enjoyed gardening flowers, vegetables, and trees; at times emerging from nature with trees taller than herself.  Doris enjoyed inventing and patented the 'Channel Box' utilized with citizen-ban radio.  Professionally, Doris served as secretary at Hackettstown Middle School; administrative assistant at Centenary College for Women; and technical editor at Bell Labs, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies; receiving recognition for distinguished performance.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents Ronald Maynard and Mary Esther Mendoza, her brother John, her beloved husband Richard E. Ricciardi, and a mangy rescue who flourished into a healthy, devoted companion, Patch.  In lieu of flowers, Doris prefers donations to research on breast cancer and Parkinson's.  Please send Doris your prayers, she would like to hear from you.
