Doris (Gimon) Girone, 92, of Clifton, passed away on August 20, 2012. Born in Garfield, she lived there and in Wallington before moving to Clifton in 1954. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Doris was an Assembler for A. Horowitz & Sons Bookbinders in Clifton and Fairfield for 20 years, retiring in 1984. Beloved wife of the late Edward Wojtowicz, Sr. who passed away in 1969 and the late Gerardo Girone who passed away in 1999. Devoted mother of Edward Wojtowicz and his wife Maryadele of North Caldwell, Linda Onorevole and her husband Richard of Clifton, Cathy Hedden of Bloomfield, Valerie Girone of West Caldwell, Jeanette and Anna Girone, both of West Orange, and the late Karen Binaso who passed away in 1991 and her husband Philip Binaso of Clifton. Loving daughter of the late George and Pauline (Markovich) Gimon. Dear sister of Eleanor Schweitzer of Newburgh, NY, and the late Michael and John Gimon, Lillian Gimon, Anna Gamarekian, Nettie San George, Olga Cebula, and her twin Margaret Gimon. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Cherished aunt of many loving nieces and nephews. Also survived by her loving caregiver Missy Beckett of Compassionate Reach. Funeral Friday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
