Involved with many activities in Clifton, Doreen was a longtime Commissioner of the Board of Recreation, receiving the Clifton "Friends of Recreation" award in 2011. She was the Grand Marshall of Clifton's 75 ^th Anniversary Parade in 1992, often reminiscing on her experience riding a white horse down Clifton Avenue in the ceremony. Doreen also led Clifton's Youth Week Talent Show for over a decade, always invested in fostering the talent and potential of the town's youth.

Doreen was a realtor for Keller-Williams Realty in Clifton, and previously was a Realtor Sales Associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Clifton. Memorably, her tagline to homeowners was "Doreen Delivers Dreams."
