Dr. Dimitrios D. Kontos' Obituary
It is with deep sadness to inform you about the loss of our dear brother, Dr. Dimitrios D. Kontos. Dimitrios Kontos born into life March 27, 1935, born into eternity on Dec. 29th, 2016.
We remember him fondly as a proud husband and physician who came from Greece in his early 20's to realize his American dream. He served proudly in the U.S. Army as a Captain/Physician. As a pediatrician he cared for thousands of children and later on practiced as a family physician.
He was happily married to Jeanette Hurst who unfortunately passed away twenty years ago. He is survived by his two brothers, George in Greece and Hercules in NYC. His sister, Ann Skaloumpakas, predeceased him 20 years ago. He is survived by his stepson, Richard Hurst, and his nephew and niece, Christos & Marianthi Skaloumpakas.

After funeral mass at St. George's Greek Orthodox Church, 818 Valley Road, Clifton, NJ 07013 at 11:00 AM on Sat. Dec. 31st, 2016, Dimitrios will be placed to rest at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652 on Dec. 31st, 2016.
After the memorial service, family and friends will get together for family reception at Biagio's Restaurant, 299 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652, tel#
