David, A. Emde, Sr., 72, of Clifton, passed away on January 15, 2014. Born in Lakewood, he lived in Toms River before moving to Clifton in 1967. A Perfume Operator for Ungerer & Co. in Lincoln Park for 7 years, David had also been a Chemical Operator for Givaudan in Clifton for 30 years. Beloved husband for 46 years of Patricia (Sabolefski). Devoted father of David A., Jr., and his wife Kerri of Oakland. Loving grandfather of Hailey. Dear brother of the late Donald, Joseph, Conrad, Betty, Edith and Frances. Cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his faithful companion, Lucy. Cremation was private under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
