Consuelo Perez, 83, of Elizabeth passed away on November 21, 2020. Born in the Dominican Republic, she came to the US in 1969 and lived in Lakewood before settling in Elizabeth. Consuelo enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling to the Dominican Republic, planting and watching her garden grow, but above all else she loved her family.

Beloved wife of Samuel Perez. Devoted mother of Wanda Perez Maldonado & her husband Edwin, Mariano Ortega & his wife Ivelisse Meja, Ogarita Ortega & her husband Miguel Rivera, Viola Umana & her husband John & Abel Then & his wife Lucia. Loving grandmother of Gabriel & Sophia Maldonado, Arabella Gentile, Jessica, Luis & Rueben Rivera, Mariano, Jr. & Yesenia Ortega, Johnny & Justin Umana, Wendy, Berlin, Abel, Nelson, Tito, Lenny & Abelito Then, Jr. Cherished great grandmother of Louis Jaymes & Savannah Gentile, Romeo Rodriguez, Mario Ortega, Miabella Espaillat, Ella Hernandez, Scarolin, Yeury, Chino & Berlin Then. Dear sister of the late Mercedes, Ramon, Fella, Joaquin, Juana & Juan Taveras.

Funeral Service Saturday 10 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Entombment, Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Visiting Friday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
