Farino Columbus "Sal" 88 of Passaic on December 7, 2009. Born in Woodridge he lived in Hasbrouck Heights before moving to Passaic 50 years ago. He was a member of the Republican club of Passaic and a county committee person. Sal was the proprietor of Farino Towing Service in Passaic and the Passaic Police tower for many years and a former member of the carpenters union. Beloved husband of 65 years to Phyllis (Fazio). Devoted father of Linda Farino Montanile of Passaic, Joseph of Brick Twsp. Sal of Clifton, and Robin Van Dunk of Georgia. Dear brother of Jean Lombardo, Grace Smith. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 3 great grand children. Predeceased by a daughter Diane Valani, 2 sisters Rose Serio and Ann Crawford and a brother Louis. Funeral Friday 9 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton and 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church, Clifton. Entombment, Garden of Memories, Washington Twsp.
