Christian Ruiz, 57, of Passaic, passed away on August 10, 2025. Born in Chiclayo, Peru he came to the US in 1976 and settled in Passaic.

A parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Passaic, Christian enjoyed woodcarving and carpentry, cooking, grilling and eating. He also enjoyed anything "Old School", old cars, music and sneakers. A huge NY Knicks Fan, Christian loved anything outdoors, he was a big history buff and enjoyed watching UFC Martial Arts, as well as watching movies.

Beloved father of Javier Rivera and Samantha Ruiz. Loving grandfather of Aubrey and Ari Rivera, and Isabella Poupart. Cherished son of Gladys Ruiz and the late Carlos Ruiz. Dear brother of Leslie D'Angelo and Ronald Ruiz. Cherished uncle of Anthony and Nicole D'Angelo, Ronald, Jr., Xavier, Noemi and Mason Ruiz. He will be sadly missed by his canine companion "Pisco"

Visiting, Friday, August 15, 2025, 2-4 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, Prayer Service will begin at 3:30 PM. Cremation will be private.
