Chester Cherniak, 89, of Pompton Lakes passed away on April 3, 2014. Born in Wallington, Chester lived in Pompton Lakes for most of his life. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was an Engineer for Falstrom Co., Passaic, for many years, retiring several years ago. Devoted husband of the late Marilyn (Vroom) who passed away in 1988. Dear brother of Raymond of Pequannock and Cecelia Kermick of Garfield. Loving uncle of several nieces and nephews. Cremation Private under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.
