Charles W. Griffith, Sr., "Buck", 95, of Bloomfield passed away on April 5, 2011. Born in Maryland, he lived in Bloomfield for many years and was a parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church.

Buck was a self employed Exporter for 40 years, retiring 15 years ago. A Navy Veteran of WW II, Buck ran the Explorers at St. Thomas' Church for many years.

Beloved husband of Joan Dittrich Griffith. Devoted father of Charles, Jr. and his wife Shirlee of MD, Gregory and his wife Deborah of AL, Timothy and his wife Linda of Lincroft, Gary of AL, and the late Monica Griffith. Loving grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear brother of John Bode of NY, and Gerard Bode of MD.

Funeral Monday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, Bloomfield. Interment, BGWCD NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Visiting Sunday 3-7 PM. www.shookfh.com
