Charlene Jackson 76 formerly of Newark, peacefully passed away at home on Nov, 19th 2024. Charlene fell ill and was diagnosed with cancer and requested to spend her last days at home with hospice and her eldest daughter to help with her care.

Charlene was the third eldest of Doyle and Katherine Daniels Jackson. She was the devoted mother of Kimberly Jackson and Indee Jackson and the cherished grandmother of Joshua Cannon, Darrin Cheeseboro and Coree Cheeseboro. Charlene was a loving sister and aunt to a host of many blood relatives and our community-based family. She was known for her kind heart and unwavering strength she worked for Essex County Jail for many years and retired from her career with Newark Pre-school counsel. She loved working for her community and served children in the lunch programs in her spare time in her community in Brick Towers. She will be missed forever.

Funeral services were private under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton.
