Catherine M. Rowan, 90, of Clifton, passed away on February 8, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Marshfield, MA, Floral Park, NY, and Nutley before moving to Clifton several years ago. Catherine was an Administrative Assistant for Hamond Group, Lake Success, NY, for several years, retiring many years ago. Catherine was a member of the Nutley Senior Social Club and the VFW, Ladies Auxiliary. Beloved wife of the late George who passed away in 1981. Devoted mother of Brian Rowan and his wife Martina of Lyndhurst, IL, Kevin Rowan and his wife Martha of Naples, Italy, and Beth Rowan of Glen Ridge. Loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral Thursday 11 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Interment, Friday 1 PM at Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic, CT. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Grace Hospice, 105 Fieldcrest Ave., Suite #402, Edison, NJ 08837, in memory of Catherine, would be greatly appreciated.
