Bronislawa "Bronia" (Podczerwinski) Karcz, 87, of Clifton, passed away peacefully at home on September 28, 2024.  Born in Podczerwone, Poland, on August 29, 1937 to Jan and Maria Podczerwinski, she worked on her family farm and immigrated to USA in 1963. Bronia was a seamstress at Gramercy Mills (sewing company) in Passaic for many years until her retirement. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church in Clifton, Bronia was a member of loaves & fishes, Polish Rosary Society, leisure club and volunteered her time for numerous church events. She was devoted to her Catholic faith.

A lover of Polish music, Bronia, enjoyed singing, dancing, sewing, gardening and spending time being "Babcia" to her grandchildren, great grandkids and enjoying family gatherings. Bronia was fearless, energetic, helpful and she had a beautiful welcoming smile which was loved by community, church, friends and family.

Bronislawa and husband Franciszek were one of the talented lead dancers of Jan Gromada's Music & Dance group at the 1964 World's Fair in New York and in 2017 celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary with family.

Bronislawa was the beloved wife of the late Frank Karcz. She is survived by her three children, Maria Pirog and her husband Tadeusz of Mahwah. Casey and his wife Mirtha of Clifton, and Frank J. Karcz and his wife Beata of Saddle River. She is the loving grandmother of Jonathan, Matthew, Timothy, Michael, Joshua, Amelia and Adrian and great grandmother of Atreus and Carter. Dear sister of Maria Sek, Stanislawa Leja, Andrzej Podczerwinski, Jan Podczerwinski, and late Jozek Podczerwinski and Wladyslawa Brzezinski.

Visiting Monday 4:30-8:30PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Tuesday 8:45AM at the funeral home and 10AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, 49 Speer Ave., Clifton. Interment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
