Obituary

Blase Frank Lorenc, 93, of Little Falls passed away on April 17, 2021. Born in Krempachy, Czechoslovakia, he came to the US in 1950 and lived in Clifton and Garfield before settling in Little Falls, in a home he constructed himself.

Blase was extremely proud of becoming an American citizen and prominently displayed the flag at his home.  A member of the Ukrainian Center, Passaic, Blase worked as a general contractor for over 50 years before retiring. He worked on various projects throughout NJ, NY and PA. A member of the Franciscan Ski Club, Blase skied until his early 80's.

Blase was a parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton, where he served as an usher, Blase was also a devoted member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol. He was an avid fan of the NY Rangers, NJ Devils, NY Giants and the NY Mets. Blase loved bowling, he was on a team for many years at Garden Palace, Clifton, and won many trophies.

Beloved husband of the late Dolores (Kovaleski) who passed away in 1984. Devoted father of Debbie Lorenc and her husband Edward Von Bargen of Little Falls and Linda Lorenc and her husband Joseph Grassi of Hewitt. Loving grandfather of Edward John Von Bargen and his wife Stephanie.

Visitation Friday from 4 – 8 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Funeral Saturday 8:45 AM at the funeral home and 10 AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
