Bertha "Bertie" (Bonczek) Kondra, 89, of Clifton passed away April 11, 2011. Born in Passaic, she has been a resident of Clifton since 1950.

A parishioner of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, Passaic, Bertie was also a member of the Rosary and Altar Society. Bertie was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone in Passaic for many years, before retiring to care for her family.

Beloved wife for over 65 years of John. Devoted mother of Thomas and his wife Diana of Rockaway. Dear sister of the late Nancy Bonczek. Loving grandmother of Stephanie, Alexandra and Jude Christopher. Cherished great grandmother of Sean.

Funeral Friday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 10 AM at St. Michael's Cathedral. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Visiting Thursday 4-8 PM with Parastas at 4:30 PM.
