Bertha K. (Kobylarz) Chitko, 88, of Clifton, passed away on March 13, 2012. Born in Wallington, she lived most of her life in Clifton. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Bertha was a member of the Leisure Club, the Rosary Society, former member of the St. John Kanty PTA, and the ARFA Singing Society. Bertha worked in the offices of Becton-Dickinson in East Rutherford for 10 years, retiring many years ago. Beloved wife for 62 years of Raymond. Devoted mother of Maryann Chitko and her husband Michael Moore of Warwick, NY, Christine Maguire of Monmouth, OR, Carol Chitko-McKown and her husband Richard of Juniata, NE, and the late Mary Theresa Chitko. Loving grandmother of Timothy and Darcy Maguire, and Geneva McKown. Dear sister of Veronica Skalski of Wayne. Funeral Saturday 8 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, and 9 AM at St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. Visiting Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
