Bernice E. Fisher, 71, of Paterson, completed her journey on January 30, 2014 after a long illness. Bernice was born in Chesterfield, Virginia to Carlton Sr. and Florence Patron on October 26, 1942. She relocated to New Jersey in 1970 and settled in Paterson until her journey was complete. Bernice was a devoted wife for 51 years and loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed decorating, cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family. Bernice leaves to cherish in her memory mother, Florence Patron of Passaic,; devoted husband Edward Fisher Sr.; four children, Edward Fisher Jr. (Denise) of Clifton, Mark Fisher of Woodland Park, Denise Cobbs (Lester) of Raleigh, North Carolina and Clo Fisher of Totowa,; four sisters and four brothers; Rose Goode of Richmond,VA, Emily Patron of Passaic, Minerva Williamson of Linden, Frona Crawford (Leroy) of East Orange, Ernest Woolridge of Passaic, Carlton Patron Jr. of Montclair, Barry Patron of Montclair, and Donald Patron of Passaic,; seven grandchildren; one god son and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 from 6:00-9:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at the Shook Funeral Home on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 10AM. Officiating will be Reverend W.B. Davidson, M. Div., Pastor of the Roger Williams Baptist Church in Passaic. Burial will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
