Bernard Frank Galambos, 86, of Passaic passed away on July 31, 2026. Born and raised in New Jersey, Bernard has been a resident of Passaic for many years. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, Bernard worked as a roofer for Macko Roofing in Clifton before retiring many years ago. He loved to fish and hunt and was an avid bowler, achieving multiple perfect 300’s over the course of his bowling career.

Beloved longtime companion of the late Liz Lamb. Devoted father of Donna Chase and her partner Mike Callaghan, and Bernie Galambos and his wife Veronica. Cherished grandfather of Greg Chase and his wife Kristin, Victoria Chase and her partner Jason Bogert, Bradley Galambos, and Olivia Galambos. Loving great-grandfather of Tyler Chase. Dear brother of Richard Galambos and his wife Lena, Daniel “Boone” Galambos and his wife Nancy, Steven Galambos, Charlie Galambos, Elizabeth “Cissy” Sasso and her husband Gerald “Jerry”, and the late Frank "Hank" Galambos and his surviving spouse Judy. Bernard is also predeceased by his sisters-in-law Mary and Betty Galambos. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visiting Wednesday 10AM-12PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, with a prayer service beginning at 12PM. Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus.
