Bayani S. Cristobal, 83, of Monroe Twsp. passed away on August 23, 2020. Born in the Philippines, he came to the US in 1977 and lived in Passaic before moving to Monroe in 2001.

A parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Passaic, Bayani was a police officer in the Philippines. After coming to the US, Bayani worked in Security for several area hospitals, including Beth Israel Hospital, Newark, Passaic General Hospital, Passaic, and Barnert Hospital, Paterson.

Beloved husband of Deborah (Gilchrist). Devoted father of Lourdes Brautigan, Laila Cristobal Ruggiero, Anna Liza Cristobal, Laurence Cristobal, Lenny Cristobal Kostick, Christine Cristobal Catanese, Leah Cristobal, Michelle Cortez, Elaine Catanese and Steven Turowski. Dear brother of Divina Kantrowitz and Leonor Tarhata Santos. Loving grandfather of 19.

Funeral Thursday 8:45 AM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013, and 10 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Passaic. Interment, East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Visiting Wednesday 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
