Barbara (Staciwa) Werpachowski, 54 of Woodland Park, passed away on October 25, 2013. Born in Bialystok, Poland, she moved to the US in 1993 and lived in Clifton before moving to Woodland Park in 2001. A parishioner of St. John Kanty RC Church, Clifton, Barbara was a Lab Manager for Symrise, Inc. in NYC for 15 years and was a member of Cosmetic Executive Women. Beloved wife for 33 years of Andy. Devoted mother of Monica Kozlowski and her husband Mariusz of Bloomfield, and Edith Karnes and her husband Chad of Austin, TX. Loving daughter of Tadeusz Staciwa of Poland and the late Maria (Dabrowska) Staciwa. Dear sister of Bogdan Staciwa of Poland. Loving grandmother of Sara. Barbara was a miracle. As a hard-working woman with a feisty attitude, she was a go-getter and a perfectionist, often called a tough cookie. Barbara's resilience and determination allowed her to never let any illness keep her down; it was an inspiration to many. She was remarkably strong, courageous, an independent woman with lots of energy and spunk, smiles and laughter. Barbara was an incredible wife and mother...our best friend that we will dearly miss. She will always be in our hearts. The Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013, from 4 to 6 PM at the Shook Funeral Home, 639 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. The Funeral will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013, 9:45 AM at the funeral home, with an 11 AM Mass at St. John Kanty RC Church, 49 Speer Ave., Clifton. Cremation will be private. If desired, the family requests that expressions of sympathy be sent to Barbara and Andy's home, or in a form of a contribution to St. John Kanty RC Church, 49 Speer Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013, in memory of Barbara.
