Barbara Katherine Leshchyshyn (Popowich), 88, of Garfield passed away on April 28, 2022. Born and raised in Passaic, Barbara has been a resident of Garfield since 1959. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Quinlan, DDS, in Passaic for many years and later was a Quality Control Inspector for Platronics Seals in Clifton for 20 years before retiring. A parishioner of Ss. Peter & Paul's RO Church, Passaic, she was very active in the Garfield Senior Center and was a member and served on the board of the Garfield AARP. An avid reader, she enjoyed watching programs about animals and their history, and always loved a good joke. She was very proud of her humble beginnings and was always optimistic and very generous. Above all things, spending time with her family was what mattered most.

Beloved wife for 59 years of the late Eugene R. Leshchyshyn who passed away in 2014. Devoted mother of Greta Latona and her husband John of Haskell and Nadine Drost and her husband Brian of Franklin Lakes. Cherished grandmother of Michelle, Brian, John, Colby and his wife Cassie, and Corrina. Dear great-grandmother of Blair Rose.

Funeral services were private and held on Saturday under the direction of the Shook Funeral Home, Clifton.
